How To Send File Very Fast From iPhone to Macbook with AirDrop

Do you ever know about AirDrop? Where you know it? Oh yes, you know it from iPhone or Macbook right? How many times you using it? What! Never? Maybe because AirDrop only work for Apple environment, so we can’t use it in other environment such as Android or Windows.

If you know about ShareIt, yes the function is same. We can send any file to other devices without using slowest transfer technology named Bluetooth or tangled USB Cable. AirDrop is really fast to send any file from iPhone to Macbook or vice versa without entering password, without connect the WiFi first.

The transfer is really easy, I will show you how to send file very fast from iPhone to Macbook with AirDrop

In this example I use iPhone 7 Plus and Macbook Pro 2017, so of course this tutorial works for other Apple device, just to make sure AirDrop is there 🙂

STEP 1

Turn on your Macbook. On your Macbook, open Finder, as default you will see AirDrop option on the left sidebar (if not go to Finder menu > Preferences > Check the AirDrop to showing again on the sidebar).

STEP 2

Select the AirDrop in the Finder left sidebar (make sure always open the Airdrop, don’t select any options).

Now open your iPhone, select the photo you want to send and click Share icon on the left bottom, you will see instantly your iPhone recognize a connection from your Macbook with your Macbook name appear in the Share option. Without entering any password tap on your Macbook name to start sending file to your Macbook.

STEP 3

You can find the file in Downloads folder, all your file from iPhone remains there but you can move to other folder. That’s was easy process.

So, still want to use other transfer app but you can get very fast transfer with AirDrop? Use it from now. Of course this only work in Apple environment. Oh I forgot to tell you that don’t forget to Turn On your Macbook WiFi, don’t make it in turn off state. That’s it!
